I had the priveledge of hearing him play in person years ago in La Jolla.....I don't think the solo Dudley played in the middle of the movie is Mancini's piece...is it? I know the song "It's Easy To Say". If it's the same piece I'll have to take a listen. Please let me know if you know for sure about this piece. thanks,

Peeples Piano Instruction | | | Joined: Feb 2007 Posts: 11 Junior Member | | Junior Member Joined: Feb 2007 Posts: 11 | Hey Miss Sharon I have a piece called And the Same to You which was a 'fantasia' if you will, on the theme of Colonel Bogey (famous old wartime song with a rather choice lyric if memory serves) Anyway, I learnt it parrot fashion in my youth by slowing the record down to 16rpm form 33rpm but now have the sheet music. I'm pleased to report I got most of it right but can now play all the right notes (though not neccesarilly in the right order! I prefer his wittier numbers to the more schmaltzy ones.
